Newburgh’s Jessica Nunge Signs with Digital Collectibles Platform
New site allows fans to support her and other athletes
Chicago, IL, August 16, 2022 – Newburgh resident, Castle High School graduate, and University of Illinois volleyball player Jessica Nunge, has officially signed a ‘name, image, likeness’ (NIL) deal with NextName which offers fans the opportunity to support her through the sale of her personal digital collectibles, also known as non-fungible tokens (NFT). The collectibles are robust media file with images, music, school logo, and playing statistics. Nunge directly receives the majority of proceeds from the sale of her digital collectibles. NextName is excited to welcome Nunge to the platform and invites fans to show their support by purchasing her digital collectibles here.

At the University of Illinois, she is an outside hitter/right side and played in all 34 matches in her first season, starting nine contests. She is ranked third on the team with 323 kills for a 2.54 kills per set mark, while also adding 128 digs, 37 blocks and 33 aces. As a member of the USA Volleyball Youth A1 Team, 6’ 2” Nunge was named to the USA High Performance All-Tournament Team in 2017. As a senior, she was named a Pre-Season All-American, a First Team MaxPreps High School All-American, a First Team All-SIAC Conference honoree, an IndyStar Sports Award Finalist, and was named both First Team All-State and All-District. She was also named two-time All-Metro Player of the Year (2017-18).
